Events of October-November 2018

I love the smell of crashes in the morning.

Hi there.

We were working for a long time on a huge update of the project and on October 27 we finally released it into the battle. Of course, such major change in the infrastructure brought a lot of new errors, which we've promptly fixed as we discovered them through November. As the result of the update, we've managed to fix almost all possible site-slowing places, as well as get rid of many old bugs, which you have repeatedly reported in the feedback form. We also have new languages for our interface: this time there are two of them at once!

Another important event was the 5th anniversary of the Ely.by project!

5 years accommodate almost a quarter of my life. I've started the project as a student with a lot of spare time. Then came the work and there is less time to spare now. As I get older, adult responsibilities appear, eating up even more time. But despite all of this, I still have an incredible passion for the project and will use any spare moment to work on it.

In the last year we improved the security of the Ely.by Accounts service, made Chrly service OpenSource, cleaned up the skins catalog, made our services available in China and fixed several issues with the main site. We will, of course, continue to maintain and update all of our services in accordance with the latest updates of Minecraft and game servers.

Generally speaking, there is not end of the work and much still remains to be done :)

Literally all the technical side of the project have been updated.
Fixed a problem with the disappearance of the skin after changing the nickname.
Ads have appeared on the site.
Added Chinese interface language (suikamelon1018, Lengkuchina, sty14702589, xfl03 and the team leader Ghost_chu]).
Fixed problem with incorrect display of friends.
Fixed problem with displaying incorrect tags for skins in the catalog and on the edit page.
Added Lithuanian interface language (andriux123 and ignasas).
Now the preview of skins and faces is drawn dynamically.
Skin page is now displayed faster.
Skins catalog for an authorized user is now performing faster.
Fixed removal of skins.
Fixed adding the first post to an empty wall.
Fixed and added new parsers for skins catalogs.
Fixed the process of determining the status of "online" users.
Fixed link to user skins on the friends list page.
Minor home page design improvements.
Fixed rare cases of valid nicknames on Ely.by Accounts turned out to be invalid on the main site.
